John was very personable,
friendly and was genuinely interested in both the industry and our
home. John made himself available to do the inspection on
a Sunday on a long weekend. Something few other businesses would
even consider doing.
The inspection took
three (3) hours and was very thorough. John examined
everything, from the foundation to the shingles on the roof He
investigated the furnace, electrical panel, the hot water heater,
the insulation, every electrical outlet and central vacuum hook-up.
He looked for water damage, leaks, cracks and probably a few things
I don't even know about.
We found out that the
roof was at the end of it's life and needed to be replaced.
Instead of being turned off to the property and resuming my house
search from square one, I used the inspection report as a
negotiation tool. My wife and I made a list of items that were
important to us and presented them to the broker. In return, the
seller agreed to replace the roof, water heater, and make some
repairs, the inspection basically paid for itself MANY
times over! Thank you

Several people wondered why I would spend the money
on a home inspector when purchasing a new construction. I'm pleased
to say it was some of the best money I spent. I certainly would not
have been able to spot the problems you noted until well after the
situation became a major repair bill or safety issue. I was shocked
by several of the things that got past the city inspectors. Needless
to say, the builder may not be so happy I called you in, but I'm
glad to be able to hold them accountable to the standards that they
promised.
